Skip day: sick as a dog

Bleah, sick as a dog with massive headache and dragginess all day long.

Have a big job assignment tomorrow to do, so I'm planning ahead to get to the gym early.

Monday: Zombie hordes outrun again

Made it to the YMCA a little more than an hour before they shut down.  Still managed to go over 3 miles at a decent clip.  After a shower, I'm feeling pretty good.

Also, per my sister Amy, Combos are not food, so I need to stop eating those.

Weekend - awesome day, decent day (reflections on the zombie apocalypse)

Great stuff.  Got on the treadmill and went a ways, stopped for a short water/pee break, then got back on.

In the event of a zombie apocalypse, I got more than 5 miles away from the zombie hordes.

Went to a different YMCA today, so the rules for child care were a little stricter.  Also first day of my feet hurting some.  Unsurprised due to Saturday's zombiegeddon blowout.

Late Tuesday

Just made it to the Y about 40 minutes before they closed.  I read some Time and Business Week on the treadmill, then stared into space and thought about the disassociation between body and mind in modernity, which probably deserves a full post sometime in the future.

I felt good and probably could have gone longer, were they not closing down.  I high-tailed it out before the really aggressive closing announcements could start.

Other than that, I am sleeping terribly and my arms are sore.  I did do a bunch of Daria-carrying, so that may be it.

Is this day 2 or day 4?

It was a tough weekend where I was massively busy (I threw a birthday party for my middle daughter and went board gaming on Saturday, and went to IKEA on Sunday).

Today I hit the treadmill right after dropping off the kids at school.  I managed to go a little over 50 minutes, and I felt pretty good about the whole experience.

I weighed myself afterward: 206 lbs.  Damn and blast, but also totally expected after a week where I gorged up till my birthday.  Other disconcerting note: my front bounces when I am power-walking.  Two ways, even: man-boobs up and down, protruding nerdbelly side to side.

I also converted my YMCA membership to a city-wide one, which opens up Sundays as an option at YMCA locations with Sunday child-care.

First post: whose fat is this, anyway?

On October 13th, 2010, I turned 36.  Today I got up and went to my YMCA and walked 1.03 miles on the treadmill.  I neglected to weigh myself, but four days ago, I weighed in at 202.  I ate/gorged at Subway twice in the interim.

How did today's session make me feel: Horrible.  I like to read on the treadmill, and I forgot to look at my book stack.  The YMCA has a lending shelf and nothing looked good.  I ended up skimming a murder mystery.  The bitter half-black crazy Greek guy stabbed his half-sister antiquarian with the dagger, in the museum.  It sucked, and I hated it.

Why I went today: In a thousand miles, I will feel better.

Why I stopped: time constraints.

Could I have gone farther if time permitted: Yes.

I have a couple of Covert Bailey titles on my bookshelf.  Good, inspirational, mostly decent advice.
